Functioning as your IT department we will work with you to learn what you would like to see implemented in terms of IT systems. Besides that, as part of standard IT operations, we will look to improve, organize and maintain proper implementation of the following areas of IT:

Data Backup

we will review the office computer network to understand how the data critical to company operation is stored and implement a system that will allow us to have backup copies of data. That involves data stored on the server (shared files, database information) as well as files stored by office staff members locally on their workstations.

E-Mail

in modern days e-mail system is very closely related to Antivirus Protection since most viruses are distributed by e-mail. Spam is another painful issue for many environments and needs to be addressed carefully. We will also help you understand other available features that a modern email system may provide and will work to implement those features if you decide to use them. Those include specialized mailing lists that help distributing mail to the predefined list of subscribers, mail boxes with worldwide web access, etc.

Network Security

we will work to make sure there are systems in place that provide for data integrity and security. This includes protection form access both from the outside of the office network as well as from unauthorized access to sensitive data internally.

Internet Connectivity

we will work to maintain optimal systems of Internet connectivity and research for any other options that may serve as a better solution to the needs of your company.

Internet Domain & Web Site Maintenance

we will work to deal with all the necessary technical details of Internet Domain registration and Web Site Internet Hosting issues.

Windows Networking Infrastructure

this area is the least obvious for the people outside of IT department, because it deals with issues that are fundamental to Microsoft based networks. You do not notice it much unless you run into trouble accessing something on your network or connecting to a shared folder on another computer. However, our experience is that it needs to be designed and implemented carefully from the start. If not, it has a tendency to become extremely messy as the network grows and get modified in its structure. Issues as whether to go for a Domain environment or for a Workgroup, who should have access to what files on the network, how and where to save files that they do not get lost or accidentally damaged, what programs to install on system and who has the authority to do it - all of this is part of the Windows Networking Infrastructure.

Microsoft Critical Updates

Unfortunately Microsoft, like most other products, is not perfect. People take advantage of multiple security "holes" that are found in MS Windows and Office Products and write malicious programs that use those shortcomings to perform destructive functions. To combat that, Microsoft issues fixes to those holes as they get discovered. Often those fixes are called patches as well. The task of IT department is to make sure all MS systems running on the network are successfully patched with latest security patches to protect from being infected.

Business Applications

we will work to properly configure and maintain specialized business applications that are planned to be rolled out. We will work with you to research for software packages that best suite your needs.

Documentation

we make sure that all areas of IT and all systems implemented as part of the office network infrastructure get properly documented.
